A Stunning Wotton House Wedding in April
Wotton House is beautiful at any time of year; let’s face it! The grounds, the library, the turtle house, the driveway - it’s magnificent. Our bride Annabel chose Good Friday to celebrate her wedding at this stunning stately home venue in Surrey and the weather could not have been more glorious for her and husband Andrew.
Annabel first visited our Dorking bridal boutique, just shy of 1 year from the wedding date, with her absolutely lovely mum and sister in tow. After a fantastic appointment and a little time to think, she came back two weeks later to see her favourite dress again before making her decision!
Annabel chose Karine by Modeca as she favoured the slightly more figure hugging silhouettes to show off her gorgeous curves and statuesque figure. Karine has since been discontinued sad to say, however it will forever hold a place here as Annabel’s photographs have been immortalised by the incredible photographer Hannah MacGregor.
Back to the dress! Karine has a fit and flare style skirt made from a gorgeous double layer of crepe. The lace was a little unusual and favoured a modern foliage style design as opposed to the more commonly seen florals. The super cute lace back, buttons all the way down the train and exquiste lace train really add to the drama of this gorgeous fit and flare wedding dress. Annabel chose Karine in ivory/nude, so the lace and tulle were a slightly warmer shade which was perfect for her skin tone.
Fastforward to October 2022, 6 months after ordering her wedding dress, Karine arrived and Annabel came back to our Surrey boutique to collect her gown and choose her veil! The 6 month countdown had begun and after Christmas and New Year had passed, Good Friday was in sight!
On Friday 7th April, Annabel wowed her guests and her groom at Wotton House Hotel, not far from our bridal shop in Dorking high street. The sun shone down for this beautiful couple as their friends and families watched a personlised service in the library, conducted by Celebrant Sally Bawden.
Annabel shone with a warm and dewy make-up look and gentle half up half down hairstyle by beloved Olivia Mills - a favourite with Wotton House brides! She chose 6 bridesmaids to be by her side and they all wore a beautiful pale pink bridesmaid dress with different style bodices and necklines. Their flowers by local Dorking florist, Flowers by Elaine were filled with blush and amnesia roses, gypsophelia and foliage.
I’m so proud to present their gallery below and look forward to hearing your thoughts on Annabel’s gorgeous dress!
